CFM MOD 9
Use solid woods and leave a small
space either side to allow some
movement.

MPD: 2005-003 CFM
This is an easy mod (PFA Mod/206/003)
to install and just requires the rear stick pivot bolt to be replaced with a
controlled friction device. This can be done by the owner and then it
needs to be signed off by an inspector.
The job takes about 15 minutes and no test flight is required.
All PFA Shadow series owners will get the details in the post in the next few days.

BMAA
MPD: 2005-002 CFM
The BMAA Shadow C and B series are not affected, however the BMAA D series will be. The friction device at the elevator looks like the option the BMAA will be going for after a mandatory flight test. If shown that the aircraft needs a friction device then you will have sufficient time to fit one. We have not received a written copy of these details as of yet.
